I'm with you. Maybe I have rosy view the past, but it seems to me that, at one time, if you wanted to be a journalist (regardless of the medium), you had to get a corresponding education. And not only were you trained in the craft, but you were imbued with a moral code that would guide you through the temptation of spin, speculation and fabrication.

These days, in addition to (or maybe as a result of) an absence of training (unless six weeks on a reality TV show counts), there's a dearth of ethics, with the new goal being to sensationalize every statement, half-truth or rumour about anyone who gets in your line of sight.

I saw the interview with the above-mentioned celebrity, and the "entertainment news" program's disection thereof. She didn't say anything that fit with their pre-planned use for her, so they found a way to disregard what she said and make what she didn't say provocative using a so-called expert who is as qualified to ascribe motivation for this person's body language as I am to teach nuclear physics. It may not be illegal, but it's definitely unethical. Luckily for the show in question, and unfortunately for society as a whole, no one seems to care.

Cool ton blogue, je l'avais pas encore vu. Merci Twitter.

Pourquoi tu mets une notice de copyright en bas? C'est pas très blogue de faire ça. Licencie-toi plutôt en Creative Commons BY:
